Position Overview:
The High School Student Ambassador for Vineyard Wind is a passionate and motivated student leader responsible for representing our company, promoting awareness of the offshore wind industry, and fostering a connection between our company and the local community, and surrounding schools. This role plays a pivotal part in engaging and educating high school students about the opportunities within the renewable energy sector.
Qualifications
Current enrollment as a high school student with a strong interest in renewable energy.
Excellent communication and public speaking skills.
Strong organizational and leadership abilities.
Ability to work collaboratively with peers and Vineyard Wind’s outreach team.
Proficiency in using social media platforms and other communication tools.
Company Advocacy:
- Act as a positive and enthusiastic representative of our offshore wind company.
- Promote awareness of our company’s mission, values, and contributions to renewable energy.
- Share information about our projects, initiatives, and their positive impact on the environment.
Community Engagement:
- Foster interest and enthusiasm among high school students for careers in the offshore wind sector.
- Encourage students to participate in related extracurricular activities, competitions, and events.
- Provide guidance and support to students interested in pursuing educational pathways in renewable energy.
Educational Outreach:
- Collaborate with our team to develop educational materials and presentations about the offshore wind industry.
- Visit local schools to deliver engaging presentations and workshops to students.
- Answer questions and provide insights about career opportunities in renewable energy.
Event Coordination:
- Assist in organizing, promoting, and leading events, such as career fairs, workshops, and informational sessions.
- Coordinate and participate in outreach activities aimed at high school students.
- Collaborate with school administrators and teachers to facilitate our company’s involvement in school programs.
