UMass Dartmouth’s School for Marine Science and Technology (SMAST) hosted a virtual meeting for fishermen to provide an overview of Vineyard Wind's fisheries survey methods and results to date, feedback from the fishermen and scientific review groups, and survey plans for 2021.
By Adrienne Wartts. Research efforts led by SMAST scientists at the forefront of Decision of Record for Vineyard Wind’s commercial offshore wind project–the first in the nation. Last week, Vineyard Wind received the Record of Decision, issued by the U.S. Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM), for the nation’s first commercial-scale offshore wind project.
