UXO/ROV OPS (#61)
OFFSHORE WIND MARINER UPDATE NO. 61
STATUS: Complete
The 250-foot HOS MYSTIQUE will be conducting UXO Verification survey in the Vineyard Wind Lease Area (OCS-A 0501), and along the Offshore Export Cable Route through Nantucket Sound between May 23- July 1, 2022, 24 hours a day 7 days a week in order to identify targets of interest. The fishing vessel CHICAWA will be providing scouting support during the operation. The HOS MSYTIQUE will be deploying working class ROV(s) no further than 150 meters port and/or starboard on the sea floor, ROV will transit approximately 2m above sea floor from vessel to target of interest, vessels will monitoring VHF-CH 13 and 16.
LOCATION(S): The vessel will be operating in Nantucket Sound from the 23rd of May to approximately the 30th of May, then moving South into Muskeget channel and then offshore into the 501N Lease area.
