GEOPHYSICAL SURVEYS (#50)

OFFSHORE WIND MARINER UPDATE NO. 50

STATUS: Completed

The R/V SHEARWATER a 109’ research vessel will be conducting geophysical surveys within the Vineyard Wind Offshore Export Cable Corridor in Nantucket Sound. The vessel will begin operations on or about the 23rd of September 2021, weather permitting, until approximately October 14th. The Shearwater will be towing equipment up to 600 feet behind the vessel. The 32’ F/V CHICAWA will be serving as a Scout Vessel during this survey.

DATES(S): Starting on or after September 23 through late-October.

LOCATION(S): Along a corridor from lease area OCS-A-0501 to Muskeget Channel and Nantucket Sound
