ELECTRICAL SERVICE PLATFORM (ESP) EXPORT CABLE PULL-INS (#89)

OFFSHORE WIND MARINER UPDATE NO. 89

STATUS: Active

Beginning in early August, the Cable Lay Vessel (CLV) GIULIO VERNE will start the pull-in of the export cable circuits into the offshore substation platform which will take approximately two weeks.

CLV GIULIO VERNE will pick up the cable ends from the seabed and then relay the cables towards the ESP for pull in.  The vessel will then repeat the operation with the second cable. Once both cable ends are installed into the ESP the vessel will be conducting post-lay burial operations along both cable routes. On completion of the cable burial, the cable routes will be surveyed by a separate survey vessel.
